George Salden brings a long and proven track record of deal experience, with some EUR 6 billion of transactions successfully closed. Before founding CapitalBAY, Salden served as managing partner at Arbireo Capital AG as well as head of transaction at Dr. Lübke & Kelber GmbH, where he was responsible for all major residential property deals. As managing director at alt+kelber Immobilienmanagement GmbH, a subsidiary of conwert Immobilien Invest SE, Salden managed international real estate transactions.
Rolf Schneider, who manages the group‘s operating activities as COO, likewise joined CapitalBAY from listed Austrian property investment group conwert Immobilien Invest SE, where he served as managing director of conwert Deutschland GmbH. In this capacity, he directed all of the group‘s business activities in Germany, managing real estate assets of some EUR 1.8 billion.
Before joining CapitalBAY as CFO/CIO, Christoph Geissler worked as head of real estate investment and funds at Munich-based WealthCap Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, where he served as managing director of more than 20 closed-end real estate funds and alternative investment funds in Europe and the U.S. with total assets of over EUR 7 billion. Geissler, a trained lawyer, was previously at HVB Immobilien, KPMG and Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Over the past ten years, he has worked on successful deals worth over EUR 5 billion.
As head of Asset Management Commercial, Sonja Bischoff (MRICS) draws upon 15 years of industry experience at renowned property companies, over which time she realised transactions totalling some EUR 4 billion in value. Her past roles include director at CR Investment Management and at Jones Lang LaSalle as well as manager at EY Real Estate.
As head of CB Capital Management GmbH, Torsten Doyen is responsible for expanding the group‘s fund management business with institutional investors. Before joining CapitalBAY, the trained real estate economist worked at Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate, most recently as managing director for institutional sales with responsibility for the company‘s German investment management vehicle (KVG). He brings a long track record in real estate, having previously worked at such renowned firms as Bankhaus Wölbern & Co. and Nordcapital, with successful deal closings totalling some EUR 3 billion. Mr Doyen is, in addition, a lecturer at the Academy of Real Estate Business (ADI – Akademie der Immobilienwirtschaft).
Before joining CapitalBAY to lead its CB Cash & Carry Management GmbH unit, with responsibility for the management and business development of CapitalBAY’s retail/wholesale real estate portfolio, Gottfried Drescher served as sales director at Metro Cash & Carry Deutschland, with responsibility for 2,800 staff and EUR 1.3 billion in sales revenue. From 2010 to 2015 he ran C+C Schaper GmbH, a subsidiary of Metro Cash & Carry, where he successfully integrated 51 different C+C Schaper locations into the Metro portfolio.
As head of CB Fund Management GmbH, Markus Holzer is also responsible for the successful syndication of CapitalBAY‘s acquisitions. He previously worked for Morgan Stanley, where he served as managing director and chief investment officer of its German real estate investment management vehicle (KVG), with responsibility for the fund and asset management activities of various globally invested funds. Holzer successfully closed deals worth more than EUR 6 billion.
In her work as head of CB Property Management GmbH, Christiane Liefländer draws upon more than 20 years of professional and management experience in the real estate industry, particularly in residential and commercial property management. Before joining Capital Bay, Liefländer held a management position at alt+kelber Immobilienverwaltung and was managing partner at Libre, also a real estate management company.
Before joining CapitalBAY, Ronny Mergner served for ten years with Austria‘s conwert Immobilien Group, with responsibility for asset management and development across the entire Middle Germany region. In addition to managing assets of roughly EUR 700 million, he brings a track record with construction projects totalling some EUR 200 million.
Oliver Müller is Managing Director of CB Property Management GmbH and has more than 15 years of professional experience in real estate companies. Among others, he was managing director at Bilfinger Real Estate Group (today’s Apleona) and most recently COO of VIVANIUM Real Estate Services. During this time, he significantly influenced their development and was responsible for asset and property management of properties with an underlying value of more than 6 billion euros.
Head of Customer Service
CB Service Management GmbH
As director of CB Service Management GmbH, Marina Kötteritzsch has responsibility for CapitalBAY’s entire spectrum of customer services. In addition to her studies of business management, she brings 20 years of practical experience in customer relationship management and in building up service centre organisations. Her responsibilities included managing operation services at ALBA Facility Solutions GmbH and the service centre of GSW Immobilien AG, which owned 55,000 residential units at the time.
Enrico Ohlig is Head of Legal at Capital Bay. The in-house lawyer is responsible for handling all legal processes in the group. Before he joined the company, he was a legal counsel with several project developers. For close to 15 years, he headed the legal department of a well-known developer active across Germany. In that role, he was mainly responsible for plot acquisitions and sales to support the creation of around 45 supermarkets p.a. as well as all real estate-related legal processes – both extrajudicial and judicial.
Petra Richter, Head of Accounting at Capital Bay, is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of the group’s subsidiaries and special purpose vehicles. The chartered engineer looks back on over 25 years of work experience, 15 of which spent in executive roles in accounting and 10 in auditing. Before joining Capital Bay, Petra Richter was Chief Financial Officer of Freiberger Compound Materials GmbH. She also served as head of finance and accounting at automotive supplier Meleghy Automotive Bernsbach GmbH.
As Head of Controlling of Capital Bay, Detlev Urbanski is responsible for planning, steering and controlling all corporate divisions and for providing information for management and operational business. A graduate in Business Administration, he looks back on more than 25 years of experience in the property industry. Before he joined Capital Bay, Detlev Urbanski worked as a controller for five years, responsible for a German-wide portfolio of 20,000 residential and commercial units worth 1.7bn Euro. He spent another five years as an asset manager for a portfolio in Saxony with a volume of 400m Euro.
As head of CB Transaction Management GmbH, Ralph Ziegler is responsible for the expert execution of all CapitalBAY property sales. Ziegler comes from Deutsche Wohnen AG, where he served as managing director of asset management, in charge of acquisitions and sales of large residential property portfolios. Over a period of just four years, Ziegler was able to successfully realise transactions totalling EUR 2.5 billion.
